that's it, how do you know guys that is time for another tesoro?

this week I had a sudden impulse to get a new Tesoro, in fact, I'm getting a discount on a new one, I usually buy my mding stuff second-hand, but I confess it would be cool to get a new one. I have the Vaquero, the Tejon and the Lobo in mind.

Topo,

When you change the type of areas (prospecting, coin hunting, beach hunting or relic hunting) you hunt or the machine you have misses good targets (so you get a machine to fill the gap) .

Every machine have strengths & weaknesses. Learn them & then go on from there. Plus you never know when the wife or kids want to go out and swing with you (you know quality time) & you already have a second machine.

Your hooked, you have become a Tesoro addict.......................

great point hardrockminer, I think it would be nice for me to try a machine with manual GB, I always had used fixed or automatic GB and I have the sensation I've been missing an interesting thing, that's a door in mding that I didn't open yet.

vaquero or tejon then

I think that's the true Sven :heh:

I think the Vaquero would suit you just fine, I have one and I love it, and a silver umax is my work horse for sure, HHH

the Vaquero is a nice candidate for sure Hank68, I'm looking for a sensible all-terrain machine like the Vaq, never used the Tejon but I've heard people not familiarized with manual GB like me having a difficult time with it

as the same as the Tejon, most of the reviews relate the Vaq as a deep seeker also

Excellent post, HaRM. In my case, I only hunt tot lots, parks, etc. My Compadre or Silver umax serve me great in most areas. The Compadre is a gold killer. The Silver umax is a coin killer with a little more personality to help identify some iffy trash. But-and I often find them - there are tab jungles and my Royal Sabre hits the spot.

I have 3 machines that have manual ground balance. With a little practice it's easy to learn and assures you that you can get the best performance from your machine in a variety of soils.

I'm with you on that Slingshot, for shallow targets give me the Gran Compadre and he is the guilty for me stoping using my probe

I think I will like the manual GB indeed, it gives more control to the user

when they intro a new model

The guy who said "too much of anything is a bad thing" didn't own a Tesoro.

Looking the other way he is right Slingshot, because Tesoros are more than just anything :nerd:
