How do you GB a CZ

How do you ground balance CZ20 with out holding down the pinpoint button, I understand the bobbing of the coil til the noise flat lines, I have read that some of you have silicone your PP button, so how do you GB, thanks

Put it in auto tune. That gets you an all-metal mode without using or needing the pinpoint button. My CZ20 had the pinpoint button removed and the hole covered on the inside side on the face plate with a plastic piece before I got it. Works fine for finding treasures.
Cheers,
tvr

put it without much falseing. I can handle a stray beep now and then. Also First Texas disabled my pinpoint at my request. With my 10" coil and all the practice I have had, I know where to dig!

thanks, I getting a CZ20 today, and I live near the beaches so I'll try it this weekend, hope it doesn't take me a long time to learn haha

if you put it Auto tune, how do you GB in salt water sand by bobbing it, thanks

also, how do I get the machine to see pull tab when it's not in auto tune, thanks again

Having a CZ-5 for less than a week hardly makes me an expert, but bobbling in auto tune gives GB sounds with or without pushing the PP. So one can GB just fine with out a PP button. I expect other CZ work the same.

Exactly!

Turn machine to auto tune. Set sensitivity at 10. Bob coil up & down adjust ground balance knob until threshold has very little change in sound. Switch back to Discriminate. Adjust sensitivity until detector runs without falsing. Dig

Scuba, what benefits are you getting from GB 10 ? I haven't messed with my GB much, every time I check my areas with the 3D or 21 they are spot on with the default 5. Sometimes 4.5 and sometimes 5.5.

in freshwater. Never have. In fact I sent it back to them thinking it didn't work. They assured me it did. So maybe I am getting deeper? Maybe not. Its not broken so I don't want to fix it!! I sometimes can get the sensitivity to 4.5 but not many times. I can tell falsing most the time. The machine really has served me well and if I ever have to sell it, I better have a much better one in my hands!!

Setting the sensitivity at 10 lets you here the thresh hold. You can hear the subtle changes to get a razor sharp ground balance. In my opinion it lets me run the sensitivity as high as possible. I have a CZ-3D that really punches into the ground. I've dug .58 cal Minnie balls at 9"with it.
