How do you deal with CRS and recording details?

For whatever reason(s) I do have a very hard time recalling certain things. Senior moments, brain farts, CRS syndrome whatever.
Seriously I could use some advice about you document your finds. Coils, settings, target IDs etc.

My first thought is to bag the item, whatever it is, and note the current detector TIC, and take a digital pic. I have the "i-detect" software to keep track of locations, gear, GPS etc so the coil, weather and other stuff I only enter once per trip.

I have also used the GREAT TID tables you fine folks have shown but on a Excel spreadsheet. A more familiar format for this old cost accountant to use.

And I can't tell you all how very much I appreciate this site and the priceless advice and info you so willingly offer. Thank you!
