How do the Fisher Impulse, CZ-20, and 1280-x compare with each? Thanks.

The CZ-20 is good for both salt water and fresh water hunting.

The 1280-X is great for fresh water but not good for salt water.

I cannot comment on using either one. I have a CZ-20.

Determine your hunting pleasure and go for it!

Then the CZ-20 came out with improved depth, and the salt circuit, so I started using it, and sent my two faithful 1280's on to new users.
One went up on the east coast, and the other went way out west. They were great machines. I found thousands of coins, and lots of rings with them.
I got my first little gold ring in water with the 8 inch coil. I still remember the beautiful summer morning, and I had the whole lake to myself. I got a signal in knee deep water, second scoop brought up a girls 10K ring with a little red stone.
What a thrill that was. I remember thinking " There REALLY IS gold in the water!!
I still have the ring to this day.:)

It's good to be reminded of those days when you have the lake to yourself, even if you're not finding much. Just enjoying the solitude and tranquility is a part of this hobby that's not often mentioned.
