OK there are people on here that are purchasing the 3030 and have not owned an etrac
you may find there is a huge learning curve BUT there is help on this forum with lots of fine detectorist that can help with just the simple things SO ASK AWAY and let these people SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE and help you
DONT STRUGGLE because you think the problem is not technical enough HAPPY HUNTING TO YOU ALL

well i am not technical but here is my take on the combined feature ok lets say with the etrac you either could choose ferrous or conductive tones
with combined you have a ferrous setting and four conductive settings which means you can run it with five tones
the lower ferrous section can be set at 22 or 23 instead of 17.5 and if you allot this section a low tone you can run with an open screen so all targets coming between 22 to 35 will give this tone
ok then you have four sections running vertical each section can again be moved so you may decide to have divisions at 12 30 40 50 or wherever you wish and say the first section will be small silver this section it is great to allot it your favourite silver sound and so on
its all about ease to make your senses realize you have a desirable target under the coil i hope this helps

Actually that makes perfect sense. I was trying to run conductive 50 with an open screen and kept getting high iron sounds. So I closed off the iron part of the screen. Combined will let me hunt with an open screen with a low pitch for iron. Thanks.

can someone direct me to where / how to change the "bins" whatever they are? Sounds to me it will make the sound much more effective in separating targets.
