How do I use Manual Ground Balance on Prizm 5G?

I have a Whites Prizm 5G. It has a manual ground Balance knob, but nowhere can I find what to do with it.
All the manuals from Whites are for the old Prizm V. I e-mailed Whites and they just said it's for Manually adjusting the Ground balance... Duh!

When should I twist the knob, which way and why? I was up at an old casino site on very mineralized rock, and I tried various settings on the Ground balance, but couldn't tell what it was doing.

How do I manually Ground balance with this thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated :help:....

Over clean ground lock the detector in the all metal/pinpoint mode. Then begin to raise and lower the coil (pumping the coil). As you are doing this you should notice that the "all metal" tone will fluctuate. While still "pumping the coil" begin to adjust the ground balance control knob (in either direction) until the tone evens out our until there is very little to no increase or decrease in the all metal tone. Once you get very little to no change in the tone while raising or lowering the coil you have achieved a good ground balance.

Hope this helps!
