I have read the instructions but I am doing something wrong. If you could provide me with step by step instructions it would be greatly appreciated. I have been pushing Iron the select and scrolling down to program S1 for example. But each time I do this I am resetting S1 to the current setting. HELP!!!! PLEASE

How do I retrive saved programs on the SE

Im going to assume you are talking about the USER SETTINGS.. A and B. There is also the FACTORY SETTINGS. Then there are the DISC PATTERNS that can be saved but ... they arent really programs. You may combing severaof the factory or ones that you have saved to create a unique pattern to hunt with... but that doesnt change your current settings. So.... to get to user settings if you have saved any, go into MENUE, then hit USER.... at that point you have an option to either load USER A or B settings or Save the setting you are using currently in USER A or B. If you want to save a pattern.... it will ask you if you want to save your current settings. Just select OK. Same goes if you want to load the ones you have saved, its going to prompt you after you decide which you want to load... A or B. As for factory setting, just press and HOLD the power button for a couple of seconds. There are really only 3 programs per sa,... A and B and Factory.

i also use the xs and i'm still learning. i got a screen to come uo that had i think 6 small screen that had programs on them. i thought this was the programs i had saved but when i clicked on one to use it just went back to tatal black screen on the little screen. if i could find where i put the manual and andy's book i might be able to figure it out. thanks.

Sorry, but those S1 ect are NOT programs they are disc settings. All the settings you currently are using arent changed... like sensitivity, gain, IM... ect. You can ONLY set up programs in A or B user. Then you can switch between them if you have programed A or B to setting you might like in different locations.... like beach or relic situations.

What the original poster wanted was to be able to load whatever is stored in "S1" and I just told him how to achieve this. He was not referring to A, B, etc.
