How do I retrieve saved programs????

I've been making some custom programs and putting them in the 6 save sections but when I try to use them I'm screwing up. I hit the button next to the one I want and it gets replaced by whats already on the screen at the time. I can't seem to find out what I'm doing wrong it the books. HELP Mr. Wizard!!!!
 
Before you load the one you want you have to take off the one you are using. What I do when I go to the select menu is hit clear button on top of the menu and clear the screen, then scroll down to the one you want and hit the accept and it will be there.

When I turn the Explorer on, I get the smart screen which is what I normaly use. Click on iron mask button and repeat clicking and then my save program comes up??
Let me know if it works for you also.
