How do I fix my coil ears?

I managed to break the ears off my stock FBS coil, woods hunting. I have another and a couple sef coils but would like to fix it. I tried plastic epoxy and it didnt last long. I see these flimsy ears being a problem on my other coil. Anyone else having this problem?

Most coils are ABS and some acetone on a Q tip sill weld it if it is.
