HOW DO I find out about Civil War stuff in south Arkansas

I know there was some camps in south Arkansas "On June 5, 1863, Confederate Brig. Gen. J. C. Tappan's Arkansas brigade marched through El Dorado on its way to northeast Louisiana as part of an effort to relieve Federal pressure on Vicksburg." but our library is closed for some fire damage...... looking on the Internet with not a lot of luck

can hunter,

Try this site for the Official Records:

ehistory.osu.edu/uscw/library/or/index.cfm

It's a site at Ohio State that gives you search options to look for places, or names, etc.

Good luck on finding Tappan's Camp.

Take care,

Kim
