How do I clear the Quick Mask screen?

Looked at Andy's book and the forusm and I can't figure this out, although I'm sure it's probably simple

I'm able to adjust the X & Y axis to the defaults of 35 ferrous and 0 conductive, but there is still some type of discrimination pattern in the middle of the Quick Mask screen.

How can I clear this out?

False alarm, got it figured out.
