How deeper the 9 X 12 coil on the ACE 250?

Hello! I have the standard 6.5 X 9 search coil on my ACE 250. I am interested to get the bigger 9 X 12 ACE PRO coil in order to be able to detect deeper into the ground. How much deeper this coil will allow me to detect? Is anybody did comparisons between these coils?

Thank you!

There is no answer on how deep it will go. It depends on your soil, target size and conductivity of the target. In my soil, it will get about 2 inches more on a penny. But 2 inches is substantial over all.

That's about what I'm getting with mine also is 2 inches on a penny size target. I like it because you can cover so much more ground with it with out losing sensitivity on small stuff. :detecting:

When I put one on my 250 it initialy felt awkward. I got used to that quickly and never took it off after that. My relic and coin finds doubled that season. Partly because I was only in my second season and still learning, partly because I had improved coil performance. I go on other forums and use another machine, but I still like my ACE 250. It punches harder than its weight class.
