How complicated is the V3???

John (Ma)

New member
I have a MXT and was thinking of getting the new MXT Pro. However, I cannot help to wonder if I should be thinking more on the line of the V3? I am afraid of going to hi tech, as I am not a tech guy. I hear of more silver finds with the V3, whether it is true or not, I don't know for sure.

Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You cannot go wrong with a v3. You will not find a simpler detector, and in the same breath you will not find a more complicated detector. It is whatever you want it to be, it is completely user tunable.

John I came from an MXT. If I didn't have the MXT the MXT Pro would be a good detector. I don't think however the extra money to go from an MXT to a Pro would be worth it. There are a lot of features on the V. I found the the V an easy detector to use. It is a bit of money and I think you should at least try one before buying. We are all different and all the features can be daunting. You can however just use a factory program, GB and start hunting. You just won't get the full power of the V3i. Rob

Ive found more silver with the V3 than I have with any other detector Ive had so far (which only include the DFX and MXT).
Heres the silver from tonights hunt after work.No complaints with the V3 whatsoever. The D2 is another story.I just sent mine in and was using the 6X10 tonight.I feel so under gunned without my D2.

I would doubt if very many more silver finds are made with the V than the MXT and that somewhat depends on where you hunt. If you are hunting in public parks that have been hunted to death, yes depth is everything, everywhere else, I find silver and gold from one to 6 inches in depth which the MXT can easily do. The MXT/Pro are very easy to learn and use detectors and I have yet to hear from anyone who was sorry they bought one. The V is a very advanced top of the line detector and has many advantages over the MXT but it is more expensive and although is is easy to use it will take some time to master and understand all that it can do. You really can't go wrong with either, you have a strong following on both units with many users to help you along the way and a strong company to back up the product.
