We were in LA some years back , were on a bus near Knottsberry I think ; anyway we were the only 2 on the bus and the driver had to lay by for a bit for his schedule timing. He thought he would start a conversation, ( knowing I'm sure that we were Canadians ) and asked where we were from. I told him we were from Inuvik, N.W.T. , next door to, but north of most of Alaska. Uh huh .. next question of course was how cold was it up there. Well, it was about +80 in LA and at least - 40 back home. I did some quick math and told him it was about a 120 degrees colder than LA. !!!!!!!!!!!! .......... END of all conversation; he obviously thought he had just met the biggest dang Canadian liar ever ! Heck, I could have strung him some real whoppers had he given me a couple more openings ! :canadaflag::laugh:

I remember reading that in some area of yours is the biggest recorded temperature change ever recorded....over one hundred degree difference in one 24 hour stretch.
I read that so of course it must be true..
