did it once and I was standing right there. He shot a starling with a 22 and gave it a butt stroke and the gun went off and shaved the hair on his temple. We were about 15. I was standing right next to him in the churchyard. I had forgotten all about it until I read this story :(

dumb for an adult to do and deadly with the old single shot .22's and some others if there is a round in the chamber as you know. I saw young guys do it to dispatch rabbits etc, i did not because i had already learned by grounding the butt on my old Cooey single shot .22 as i knelt down to shoot and had it fire just in front of my head also:blush: Most triggers are easily released by a sharp jolt when the safety is off.

Just doing stupid stuff, you guy's probably had a couple of them. I swear I still say to this day they made that cartoon Bevis and Butt Head after these too. Well they went pond jumping for ducks on day with a 22 rifle, which is illegal in the first place,22 rim fire for ducks. Well they were sneaking up to a pond, there was a mess of ducks in this pond, well just as they raised up the ducks started flying off, the dumb Azz in front threw his hand up pointing at the ducks flying off and the other dumb Azz in the rear shot the other guy clean through his right hand. This is a true story. These two guy's are still alive believe it or not. I know one of them has been in more trouble for his drinking and driving. Would think someone would learn a lesson.
