How are the new 12 inch MXT coils doing in the field?

I am looking into buying a 12 inch MXT spider coil and was wondering how users liked them so far? Sure wish they didn't cost so damn much? I want to gold nugget hunt with mine and maybe some old picnic ground and plowed field hunting. Any tips on using them? Will it make my MXT nose heavy? What settings should I use for gold nugget hunting with it ,especially in ground with loads of hot rocks?
