How about the White's M6 ???

Willee - Texas

Is it a good coin shooter?

Can it use all of the MXT coils?

I got one on a trade ... took it out to the local school yard and hunted a while with it.
Nice tones, good depth, handled trash well.
I wish they had made the Tone ID the default trigger switch position ... I guess I could go in and rewire the trigger switch.
I will use it a while and wont change that unless I feel I am going to keep the detector for a long while.

Hey Willee
I have had mine for about three years now and its great detector. I love the tones and the target Id is really good. I picked up the 10 x 12 sef coil last year and it really shines on the M6.

based on the main MXT platform. It shares all the same search coils the MXT uses. I've had several of both and still have an M6. Most of the time I search with the single tone audio because I just like it best. That's because I am most often trying to find some renovation work or hitting a ghost town or similar site with abundant targets. Too much noise drives me nuts and I only need the VDI.

There are times, however, when I like the Tone ID for some casual coin hunting. That's one reason why I felt the urge to keep an M6 around because many hobbyists, and especially some newcomers who have maybe started out with one of the many 3-tone type detectors, are slow to pick-up on single tone audio. I'd let my adult kids of a friend use an MXT and they asked where the tones were, but the M6 provided that feature. I was glad to see it added to the MXT Pro for those times when it is handy (or just 'fun.')

I'll just add that I prefer this handy 'coin shooter' with a 6
