The top four buttons are from Pep cereal and depict comic strip characters. I can't remember the name of the comics they were from ( A little before my time) but some of you might be able to help.

We have "B.O. Plenty" "Andy Gump" "Perry Winkle" and "Superman". The first three have copyright dates of 1945, but superman does not have a date, I would assume the late 40's or early 50's on him.
The small one is a red cross volunteer's button.
My Grandparents leased out the farm and did their part for the war effort by moving to Portland and working in the ship yards building Victory Ships. The last button is one of theirs. I have some pictures of Grandma and Grandpa at work on the ships. They did their part even though they were to old to fight.
