Can anybody please explain High Output Technology ?

I have a new Cibola coming and it has HOT on it.

Also is there another reason for frequency shift other than to avoid other MDer's ?

John

Hello John.....HOT or High Output Technology is primarily a "soup up" of the output power of the detector, along with more powerful windings on the coil, which together provide a much stronger "punch" into the ground, busting through a lot of the masking caused by high mineralization. The technology virtually rejects mineralization. The frequency shift basically allows for changing frequencies from 14.3kHz to 14.5kHz or 14.7kHz for less interference from other detectors, or outside power lines, etc.

Congrats on your choice of detectors, you are gonna love ist's power, discrimination capability, quick response from the null to the positive, and light weight hunting!
