Had to get out in the water during the hot afternoon weather, and stumbled across this beautiful sterling silver cross. I looked for the chain, but to no avail. Never saw a marking like this one, CI925? Go get you some!

Could it be "GI925"? Maybe "GI" meaning gold inlay?:shrug:

There are other examples of jewelry with GI925 markings out there, but I can't say what it stands for.

Thanks for your post. It does have a gold colored sheen to it's overall appearance. I could test it with my gold kit and see if it gives any response to the different acid strengths. Gold inlay is one possibility.
