Hot Mojave!

First, let me say that I am not a brand loyalist as I have used many detectors. I currently own just a Mojave and I have noticed how sensitive it is while hunting totlots. In the past I have used a Compadre for this type of hunting and noticed I could get closer to the metal equipment. The Mojave is so sensitive that it regularly picks up the swingset chains as I sweep under! Saturday I had a time or two where it would pick up my Lesche in my free hand. I'm not saying it's the best detector I've owned, but so far my experience has been it's a super sensitive detector. Like most Tesoro's a fun machine that will hold it's own with the big boys!

Try running the sensitivity at 2-3 and you can get right next to the poles just like the compadre. Maybe even a little better.

Definitely a super sensitive little machine.
Dug this little 1/2 gram 10k at every bit of 6" with the Mojave!
It was really quiet signal, yet still steady and solid.

Nice, and I agree lowering sens for tot lots.

Congrats!
Paul

Yes, the Mojave is sensitive. Lower sens you'll be surprised how close you can detect near tot lot poles, Mojave is great for these conditions.

Yes sir it sure is.
Sensitivity between 2-3 and itll hit stuff right on the pipes.
Even better than the compadre

I had a good time out this past weekend for a few hours with the Mojave. I am slowly learning the nuances and getting used to this machine. I can say I dug lots of nickels this past Saturday and that's with my settings just above foil. I know depending on the site, I don't need to keep the discrim this high. I will try the tips about cutting the sensitivity down to 2 next time I totlot hunt.

Going to take advantage of the welcome pre-spring weather we're enjoying. And on the subject of 'enjoying' I'll also be working that nifty new 7" Concentric that came on the Mojave. A nice detector/coil match.
