Hey guys

I need some help with head phones. I know it's still a bit cool over there but here in Queensland it's hot as hell.
My headphones get really uncomfortable. I tried earphones but with no volume control they tend to be way to loud.
Any idea's

Cheers Ron

My personal opinion is the SunRay Pro Gold phones. The leather ear pads are soft and very comfortable during the heat of the day and won't slide. Fits very well over the ears. They have volume controls for each ear, limiter and fits all detectors. WONDERFUL! I've had mine for about 2 yrs. and I wouldn't part with them for any others. My opinion.......And happy hunting, Nancy

I use some earphones from an I-pod when hunting in the deserts of Arizona, they fit in your ear like ear plugs. Went to Radio shack and got a jack adaptor so they plug into my detector, they are not as good as my regular headphones, but a lot cooler. And when Gold hunting you don't need the best sound any way and if they get to loud I just pull one of them out and hunt with one ear...........

A real good set of headphones are the Skull Candy Ink'd earbuds, they block sound almost as well as some of the premium brand over ear phones. You can find them here in the US for about $20 and the warranty is as unbeatable as you can find, unconditional normal wear and tear and replaced at half price for anything else(I had a pair replaced at half price when my daughter took the scissors to them). Believe me, this company honors their warranty. Buy these phones and a 1/4" to 1/8" right angle adapter and an in-line volume adjust and you'll have an excellent headphone set-up. This happens to be my current phone set-up (sometimes with shooting muffs, blocks sound even better than anything you can buy otherwise), and I can wear a full brimmed hat or anything else I want on my head without interference.:detecting:

Thanks for the help folks I might try the Scull candy earbuds with in line volume control. Love to get a set of SunRay Pro's
but the exchange rate is a bit lousy at the moment. :ranting: Trying to find enough coins to get a DX-1!!!!!!!!!!!:ausflag:

thanks again
Ron

an Akubra hat with the brim on both sides turned up. holds the earphones about an inch away from my ears. Never gets sore.
