Yes, it's hot. No grass hunting. I did mention woods hunting though. I went down to Glen Oak Park, Peoria, and hit the hillside. My first target was a 69-cal Civil War Era Bullet. After some junk and a half hour more searching out jumped another bullet. Decided to quit while I was ahead. Here is a pic of the bullets next to a dime for size comparison.
Sorry to hear things didn't work out down in MO and you had to come home to find some relics........ But two bullets 150 years old is still a good day hunting.
PATH Club Members, anytime you wish a tour of the hot spots just ask. I have showed our membership the area in the past with over 150 bullets, three buttons, many 1800's dated coins and other relics recovered. It is not hunted out yet. Area is limited for now with all the weed growth but you can learn now, detect what you can and try again in the spring before the weeds and bugs greet us. I share info with club members, I don't tell them I found it in the dirt....
