Hi Folks!

Went to that old subdivision on the front side of the fort this morning hoping to find some silver, but no dice. Only found clad  I decided to hunt the back side of the fort instead hoping my luck would change and man did it ever :super:

I began hunting behind the permit hut off the old gravel road and found the merc and rosie. I only had about a half hour to hunt before it started getting dark and drove to another area right in front of a gated fence, got out and started detecting when I got a nice '81 reading. Dug the target and wow got this 1904 injun! :yikes:: My first injun hunting the fort :jump: Did the best I could cleaning the coin, but that crud I could not get off. You can see the '04 date :wiggle:

Well, looking forward to hunt with Bubba, General and Buddy tomorrow morning at 9:00. They may want to detect the back side of the fort instead :D

Thanks for looking and HH to all....James

coin was partially on edge giving me the high reading when I saw it in the hole. I placed the coin flat on the ground back inside the hole, ran my coil over it, and it VDI'd at 58. I re-checked the hole after retrieving it but didn't find anything else :(
