BUT, I need to know,,,,,,, the tone works really well, well flawlessly, I'm totally impressed, BUT. According to the add, you don't need to take off your headphones, with the built in vibrator, BUT. I can't feel a vibrator. Hey you guys, is the vibrator kind of a joke? Or did I get a bad unit. Please let me know! :yikes::yikes::yikes:

I don't know about the Propointer, but my Treasure mate has an internal switch in the battery compartment to select tone or vibration. Check that out and see what you find.

Ah... the nickle discount makes more sense now

Kidding aside, if you don't feel this one vibrating, it's broken.

For the dollar, it's the best hand-held pin-pointer I've ever owned. It's a keeper, and user, to be sure! If you got one that's defective, contact the supplier or send it for warranty service. They are a "must have" in my opinion.

Now John.... The "sound off" is actually part of being raised by a red headed Okie mother, and she was actually a Miller. I'll call Garrett Monday, see what they'll do. Oh! Any idea where you can buy the BLACK battery that comes with the unit? Coppertops test about 9.6 volts new. This battery test 9.99 volts. I notice the tone is much louder with it than the Coppertop,
