Well, we finally got a break from all the heat we've been having here in Alabama. Yesterday was a perfect day to go detecting the fort. Started off finding a few wheat pennies here and there, when I got a good dime signal at 3" deep. Dug the target and found my first merc of the day

A few hours or so later, I got a nice dime signal again at 2-1/2" deep and was surprised to see these three mercs laying in the same hole After retrieving the mercs, I swung the coil again and dug three wheat pennies that were still in the same hole

I had to reward myself by doing my hat trick ...the famous AU break dance once again! Shucks, I even had a few fans watching me

Here's the mercs all cleaned up (wheat pennies not shown)
