Ground here is hard as a rock. Worked on the Harley today for about 30 minutes and must have sweat a gallon. Hope to be able to get in the water somewhere this weekend. Talked to a guy yesterday who gave me 3 locations for detecting. One is an old party spot that has been used before he was there as a teenager. The other two are spots for Civil War Relics. Let me tell you, I've tried digging dirt but it's like a slab of concrete. I'll stick to the beach where it's cooler and the diggin' is easy July 4th weekend should bring a lot of people to the beach! Really humid here too but not as hot as last week (but hot enough ). It's supposed to get a little drier by Saturday.

Your water spots sound really interesting; make sure you post some pics!

The area is about 60 miles away and as all locations are close to a river the skeeters are probably really bad this time of year. Also will have to take a drive down there and check out the area and see what is really there and what the chance of getting permission to hunt will be if that is needed.
