After my first day's hunt of the Farmers market, netting 120- plus coins, $13- plus value, on the 4th of July, I went to see what goodies were at the community park, after the fireworks. Usually it's way fun, all the lost "artifacts" and spilled money. But when I arrived at dawn, I couldn't believe it! Instead of great areas of refuse, trashcans filled to the brim, This 5th of July saw empty trash barrels and mostly tidy lawn! Seems they are now, at least this year, cleaning up right after the show, and I was told that there were no refreshment booths. No wonder I got $2.80 in 2 hours...
To make me feel better, I finished up the Hospital lawn/farmers market, netting 23 Quarters, 18 dimes, 8 nickels and 9 pennies [$8.04]. Those gold rings never showed up, darn it, nor any other jewelry. one Chucky Cheese token. Think I'll start gridding another grammar school in town. The last one gave up over $45 in mostly-dug coins. Happy hunting everyone
