After yesterdays hunt, I thought I would share my thoughts and finds again. This Gold Bug machine continues to amaze me with its audio. However, be forewarned, you must have a good quality set of headphones in order take full advantage of all the audio nuances this machine offers. Now before I go any farther let me explain this last statement. Yesterday the temperature was to be in the 80

I am curious, did you hunt any sites that were heavy with non-ferrous trash like aluminum?

If so, how did you feel about the machine's performance?

The ring was pulled in a very heavy trash area. I dug a lot of pop tabs and pop can pieces just to make sure of what they were, but this ring rang in at 55 and was very close to a pull tab. I believe this machine recovers faster than the F75 does. One thing I can mention, when I get in the heavy trash I like to turn the gain down a bit. The main reason I hunted this trashy area was, I knew everyone was avoiding it for the trash issue, this time it paid off for me.
Note: When I'm in the heavy pop can trash and find a target, I like to slow down and almost hover over the target to get an idea of the size and shape before digging. This ring gave a very smooth and narrow audio, where as the trashy aluminum is usually elongated and the ID numbers jump around a lot more.
