Ok, I have a GB and have been using it for the last few months in the same place in NY now . I have pulled out over $170 in change. I had first been averaging more per trip and more coins per trip. Now it is taking me longer to find a few dollars though my coin count is over 50 per tri and it takes a few hours.
I have had my wife send me my golden umax with the clean sweep coil to try covering more ground and see how I do.
I will have to adjust some because detecting with the golden is a very different experience compared to the GB.
Hope to see what I am leaving in my most hard hit areas and cover some new area.

And I do not condiser this a one is better than the other...They are vastly different animals..

Well I made it to the park today a bit later than usual. I hunted for about 2 hours. a bit less than my usual time frame.
I found
2 quarters
2 dimes
2 nickels
15 pennies
1 euro
1 NYC transit token
6 keys.
1/2 a spoon
definitely far short of my average of 50+ coins a trip. The targets I did find were east to pin point. But the Golden umax is just not getting deep enough to find what is left on this field.
I'm going to put the 11 coil on the GB and see what I can find next.
These are two very different machines and are no indication of one is better than the other.

ok, today I switched to the GB with the large coil on it. I did find it a lot easier to pinpoint today that there are fewer targets. I was even pulling out pieces of balled up foil that was from gum. But the big difference with the gb is the ability to sweep real nice and slow and get onto targets and id them.
I had 1 target today that was according to the meter 4 inches but I think it was a bit more. I am not a big lover of what depth meters say. But with some fiddling I pulled a 1958 wheat cent.
It was also interesting to pull repeated "58" signals and get nickles.
So today I found
(9) quarters
(9) dimes
(7) nickles
(14) pennies and a 1/2 of a penny.
But the Gb as a coin detector is a definete keeper.
