Hope I did'nt get in too big of a hurry

I usually get in a big hurry and hope I am not sorry this time. Sold my E-trac and cz21. After reading the headphone issue, which may not be a big deal, I hope no other issues pop up. I just remember the AT pro situation and they finally got it worked out, at least I think so. I also have a pair of expensive headphones that I really like and would like to use them on the ctx 3030. Time will tell I guess. Kind of wish I had my E-trac and cz21 back and most likely would wait for a while to see what happens. I do have the ctx on order? not bashing just concerned. I dont know but never heard of a problem like this coming up before. Anyway jumping the gun is not always a good thing it seems.

The headphone problem is solved already, what you have to do is to use an adaptor between the CTX and your headphoneplug.

1/4 to 1/4 inch...

well if you change your mind i got my e-trac forsale just got it march 30th of this year and its got a total of 5 years warranty

Thats a good question.

Maybe both works cause i have seen both ways posted as working.

Try to be sure....

Relax Sonny, you made a good decision, I believe the CTX will live up to your expectations and then some.

For us with the starter pack, that seems to be our only choice thus far and I have ordered one today. But what happens when you have your headphone cable plugged into a 2" long extension on the back? Without a doubt you will eventually come down on it, it is just chance and the back end will either break or be damaged. Minelab needs to address this, not the consumer and not the headphone manufacturers.

I'm ordering the starter pack when I find a good deal but I do expect this issue to be resolved by Minelab for those of us who bought the starter pack. Not by buying an adapter that is potentially in the way and damage causing or any other unreasonable workaround being done by the consumer.

Most people that have commented on the forums that are buying the starter pack would like this to be resolved.

This reminds me of the AT Pro when it had the coil falsing problem. Garrett said no problem, the mods said no problem, the people who were die hard Garrett users said no problem. But a few users stood up and made it known. Eventually even the die hard users started to see the annoyance in it. And what happened? They eventually fixed it but never admitted to it being a problem as far as I remember.

Respectfully and not bashing,
Albert

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the E-Trac. Really. I'm just being straight here. The E-Trac's weight got to me but the perfect balance of the CTX along with the nice reviews therein have me sold. A little bit better performance won't hurt and I love the trace feature.

I am not brand loyal but the E-Trac has impacted me more than any machine to date. I love the sounds and just LOVE the 2D screen. If you are curious #2 was the Omega 8000, another great coin machine.

I am very much looking forward to the CTX. I hope this small problem is resolved and bet it will be.
