Hope Fisher R&D Is Listening

 Here is a brief list of what I would like to see Fisher do in the new year:

1. Create a better website (Whites has the best one right now).

2. Concentrate more on the "old line" traditional Fisher units like the 1200 series and CZ series. ( They are making too many "star wars" looking units).

3. Offer a complete line of accessories to include: hats, shirts, coffee mugs, iron on patches, carry bags, etc , (in addition to coils, headphones, etc.)

4. Design a new catalog!!!

5. Listen to these chat rooms ( find out what the real users want) not just produce a line of "quick sell" detectors.

Please understand that these are not criticisms but they are observations from over 20 years of visiting with fellow detectorists in the hobby. Sometimes the engineers don't even metal detect as a hobby so input from the "veterans" can really help. I think this is one of the biggest mistakes that detector companies make because they need to know what we want to see in the new product introductions.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Happy Hunting, RDF :fisher::detecting:

First off, no single detector company can please everyone. We are fortunate that there are several good detector companies available to fill our wants and needs. I, for one, am very pleased with my "star wars" looking F 75. I swung cz's for over a decade and a half and I am much more happy with my F 75 results. Fisher does monitor these forums so maybe some of your wishes will come to pass. HH jim tn

Indeed they do. Ive had direct responses from them, as a result. SO wave, because Fisher is watching.
Personally, I'm gad to see Fisher going full out for the lightweight revolution. I have a 1236-X2 and have used their CZ models and a 1266-X back in the day.
But the F 70, F 75 and other feature packed, lightweight "Star Wars" instruments are the wave of the future - not just at Fisher, either.

Keep it up Fisher. If my plans work out, I'll be balancing an F 70 on my fingertips soon...

I also think fisher should have more accessories like hats and shirts and stuff like that. I'v been looking hard for a t-shirt with the new fisher logo and cant find it anywhere, just the old logo. The same with the hats. If they can upgrade the metal detectors they can upgrade the other stuff. Im sure people will buy them, I know I would.

The electronics in the new Fisher's seem to be very good. I would like to see the F75/T2, F70 and F5 beefed up for thick woods relic hunting while keeping the weight the same. The lower shaft and coil ears take the most punishment under these conditions.

with the new wings logo, and also some of those things that go around cans to keep your beer cold. I guess that since they are still using catalogs with my picture on it, nobody really knows about them. I have no idea how you get them? Maybe you have to call & ask how much they are? I saw them at the "DIV" hunt & was able to grab a couple from some guy with a traffic cone on his head
