What a fantastic and beautiful sunny day it was today for recovering lost treasure!!
Rob and I went hunting and I had a much better day today than I did last week and very happy to say that my silver drought has finally ended. Yay!!
I found two Mercs in the same hole and then later a silver quarter. I also found some cool relics today. One is a General Joffre pendant. Here is a link to who he is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Joffre. Also, I found a button that says E.A.T.S.S. on the front (which I believe stands for Executive Agent for Tactical Switched Systems - a division of US Army Software Engineering Center). I am not certain about that. On the back, the button says "Whitehead & Hoag - Newark NJ" which was an advertising company that was in operation from 1890 to the mid 20th century. (See link about them - http://www.nehushtanantiques.com/whitehead_and_hoag.html). It's funny how when one recovers some unique relics such as these, you develop an interest in the history of it. I really enjoy that part. I also found 5 wheats.
Rob found a Merc and some type of thin silver disc and wheats.
Here are some pics of our finds - Thanks for looking and enjoy!! Happy Hunting Everyone!!!
