Don't like givin' up me loot. So when the wife asks me for a piece, I kindly tell her to go find 'er own. So she does just that. Surrender the Booty, but stay outa my treasure chest!

well done re your finds
you may remember I missed out on a good sov deal here in New Zealand.
Well - I sold my Garrett and bought a sov elite off ebay.
the plan is to hunt the wet sand and surf with the whites PI, and the upper dry sand with the sovereign, so i can skip digging the iron, and focus on the gold and diamonds and platinum (hope my pouch is large enough - ha ha ha!)

Congrats.

When searching at the beach is it more productive to search where folks lay out in the sun or in the water? What is your technique for finding rings? Do you dig everything?

Sometimes I find all my good stuff in the dry and other times I find quality rings in the wet. There is less trash in the wet than the dry, but, the signals may be few and far between. You will dig alot more targets in the dry, but, not necessarily more rings. Some of my hunting buddies prefer to hunt the wet and they dig more jewelry per number of targets dug, but, in the dry, where I do most of my hunting, I dig a heck of a lot more good targets, mostly clad coins (and alot of trash), but, the percentage of rings is very low compared to the overall number of targets dug. If you think you would prefer digging lots of good targets vs a few very good targets, than, maybe, the dry sand is for you. It's all fun! HH,

Bill
