Hooka system for underwater detecting

Probably sounds like and obvious and stupid question because I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already. However, having never detected underwater I'm curious if there is ever a situation where a hooka system would work.

I'm primarily a nuggetshooter and prospecter and since I've been dredging so long I feel comfortable with it. I'm not certified for Scuba and have never been down with a tank in my life, which is why I was wondering about hooka.

Thanks guys.

Eric

Try doing a message search under hookah but set the search time to last year. You should get 20 messages covering all aspects of hookah.

Hi Eric, I'm also a dredger & a diver (certified) for 35 years...Hookah is the best way to go as far as I'm concerned

My plan is to get certified this winter in Bermuda as it will open up a lot of territory for me. Considering the depths involved 10 to 15 feet hookah seems like the way to go.
Am I on the right track?

Yes, you're on the right track. With a portable hookah system you don't have to waste time & money getting tanks re-filled & hookah will allow you more time to hunt...I still need to get an underwater detector but plan on being set up but this comeing summer...I don't mind diveing in the winter but getting out of the wetsuit is not REAL pleasant...besides I haven't decided which detector I want to go with...TT

Good morning, gentlemen, is there anyone here with knowlege of compressor construction? I want to build a hooka compressor, does anyone know the keene ts 8o construction? Specificly, the piston ring material, is it cast, or is it a uhmw teflon product, also is it a dry crankcase, to iliminate the danger of oil fumes. Thank you very much, also if there are any other facts, info, positative or negitative. Thank you very much. jr
