Honey Hole

I seem to have hit a Honey Hole . I have been detecting this area I found for about an about an hour or so when I get out of work . I have been there five times . Each time I go I find something good . I have been using the sniper coil working an old concrete wall that divides the grass from the sand . The ground is still frozen but have been able to break through in some areas. I just make my hols a little bigger after I pin point so I don't damage any thing . Yesterday I was working along the wall when I got a sold 84 I started to dig and came up with a medallion with crossed Snow Shoes . Come to find out on the back it reads Convention Internationale Das Raquetteurs Ottawa 1955. Then working the wall I had a a hit that would read 49 then I would I scan the other side and hit 50 . I decided to dig and come up with this ring . It was as shinny as you see the only thing I did was clean the dirt from behind the stone . There are no marking on it but you can see with a loop where it was re sized . the stone is 12x10 MM. I will bring it and have it checked out . So far in this area I have found a 1917 type1 Standing Liberty , two Mercury dimes 1941,1942 . one Roosevelt Dime 1954D ,two Wheat Penny's 1913,1925 . and 24 clad coins that total $1.25 . I really like using the sniper coil . I have had some really good hits but the ground was just too hard when I started to dig . I bent one shovel trying but I have a good mental note where I need to go once it gets a little warmer.

GPS coordinates or it didn't happen (kidding :spin:)
Congrats on those beauties!!

I just love amethyst...Great ring...
Looks like you Do have a Honey Hole there...Keep hitting it.

HH,

I had the ring checked today by a Jeweler . It is gold and it is old . When I looked at it with my 10 power loop the stone looks fine but with his I think 25 power the stone is scratched . The way I look at it it looks good and its Gold . I took a picture of the back side of the snow shoe Medallion . I am learning that if you work the sniper coil real slow the machine really picks up the signal . I still dug my share of junk and love it when people ask if I found any thing good I just reach into my pouch and pull out the junk and tell I am just helping keep things beautiful
