Honest Opinions Only On The CTX 3030 Please

Ok guys and gals, please drop the pride and tell me if the CTX 3030 is really that much better than the Etrac. I want opinions from previous etracers only who now own the CTX 3030. Please be straight with me and tell me your honest opinions. PM me if you don't want to post it here. I'm considering buying a CTX but I'm not sure if its worth liquidating my 3 other detectors and coils to get one.

I don't like digging deep nails and I'm wondering if the CTX will help me avoid that. Please don't bother responding if you don't have experience with BOTH the Etrac and the CTX. The last time I posted a question similar to this I got jumped and the thread turned into a joke so let's just stick to the facts.

Thanks!

Whether the CTX is for you or not will probably be a decision that you will have to ultimately make for yourself in spite what others say. Many of us on the CTX forum are very experienced E-Trac, SE Pro and EXll users and the vast majority love the CTX as I do. For me, in my ground and hunting skills, the CTX gets better depth, better target ID at depth, better separation, and far less trash and nails. Will you get the same results............... A lot will depend on how well you learn how to use the CTX and how good your hunting skills are.

Hands down better than Etrac. As for all the reasons Larry said above plus better balance better battery setup, wireless, able to use in rain/water, I can go on. I hate to say it but the Etrac will be a good backup. Now dont get me wrong now......the Etrac was an awesome machine in its day lol. Just kidding, the E still is an awesome machine. Like Larry said, try it out and see if "YOU" like it, but I bet you will. HH CTXJOE

What Larry and Joe said. Iffy signals are just about a thing of the past with the CTX because I have found MOST were trash. Great machine. If you will notice on the forum experience on the CTX is starting to show and will only get better. Try one out if you can I'm sure you will like it. I still have my E-Trac but it is getting a well deserved rest. HH :minelab:
