Obviously this is on older big box S-1 probe. I never had the clamps to hold the probe. What do you think? Curious. HH. Matt.

Matt sunray could probably provide you with clips if thats what your looking for.

Those big box S1s were modded in days past, they were reinstalled into smaller boxes. lots of mods on sov stuff.

Thanks Neil....i know....i know...but ive got what ive got and dont want to spend $20 for clips :) Thank your for your post. HH. Matt.

Why don't you get some pipe clips from your local stores.....the kind that plumbers use.You can attach these to the shaft and you will have a probe holder for a couple of dollars.Just a thought.

I think the probe is going to hurt your arm being in the cuff!
Hey its your picture and my opinion!
Actually I think sunray probes just get in the way.I have one I never use!
But you could attach a piece of larger diameter PVC to any portion of the detector and just slide/drop the probe in.

Velcro it to the side of your box. If you notice your tip starting to wear..... go to any hard ware store and get one of the rubber foot pieces for chair legs.

Find an old fashion broom or mop handle pressure clips 2 of these .I have used these they will work well. Mount so probe will fit with a snap next to the rod between handle and Sovereign box.Your S-1 control box is in an awkward spot and should have the box turned so the switch can be flipped without moving your hand from the handle. The old big S-1 boxes can actually be cut in half and epoxied back together to reduce bulk by 50 percent. The old S-1 probes IMHO have better sensitivity than the newer probes. If you use your current setup carry the probe in a pocket or pouch, you need your arm rest for balance.Good Luck Ron
