I thought I had scored another Presidential Campaign button when I saw Abe's bust come from out from under the crud ! After a quick but thorough look thru Alberts button book and no matches it was back to the cleaning board for a clue. The word Liberty was first then a date possibly 1948 or 08. This site is older but obviously the button was designed around the coin. Still a neat relic, any clues out there?
It is a mirror reverse of an actual coin

I have seen a lot of Lincoln things as I live less than 10 miles from his birthplace but I have never seen one like that. That is a really neat find. What does the back look like?

Mint defect? Dyslexic penny????? Really nice find!!

I would like to know as well LOL Part of the rim of the button is all that is left. When I was a tot {60's] we vacationed in Springfield and I got a Lincoln penny about 2 inches wide solid copper as I remember. Lost it in one of our many moves, would love to have one even looked a couple years ago in their gift shop.
