Homemade Solid Coil Cover That's Free, Waterproof, and VERY Durable

Solid coil covers are good for hunting the woods or crop fields with stubble. Get that plastic material that a lot of signs are made of. It looks like carboard (ribbed air space in between the two sides just like cardboard), but it's waterproof and VERY durable. Zip tie it to the coil. Melt out the tip tie holes as that makes it harder for the hole to rip. It's also slick and smooth for sliding over stuff. Watch for weight loss signs or other ones that have been illegaly stuck on telephone poles or in the grass on tree lawns near corners and such. Those things aren't supposed to be there in most cities so you'll be doing the city a favor if they aren't. Just don't touch political signs as I think that's a felony.

How about one of those garage sale signs that are made of thin plastic, stick it on the bottom of the coil with some rubber cement......NGE

Be careful using any rubber cement on a plastic type of material. It will likely disolve or destroy it. Instead, use epoxy. It won't damage the plastic at all. Of course, using epoxy means you may never be able to remove the coil cover.

Just use corruplast sign material and melt holes through it for zip ties to hold it to the coil. This stuff is TUFF and won't rip. Impossible to do for the most part, but if you melt the holes you have less chance of getting a runner going.
