Homemade long handle sand scoop

Dosage04

New member
Instead of paying close to $100.00, I made my own for about $5.00. works awesome. it consists of a water container, and a wooden dowel. enjoy

I think you'll discover the holes are too small, and not enough of them, even for fine dry sand.

Have made a bunch of them for dry sand...
I use 1/4" mesh hardware cloth, shape a piece, and crimp the wires over to hold in shape.
Hardest part is affixing a handle without welding some sort of bracket assembly.

5/8 or 1/2" holes good near top part, but smaller on bottom to catch ear studs and split shot no-see-ums!
