homemade coil for Minelab Exp II

Hi everyone,

Has anyone on here ever made a coil for the Milelab Explorer series. I would love to build something with the geometry of the BigFoot that works so well on the Whites XLT.

What I really need to know is if there is an electronics package in the Explorer coil, and if so, what it's function is. I.E. does it have an amplifier circuit in the coil form? How many turns of what size wire for the receive and transmit coils?
