Home made repellent

Home made repellent: In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 1 cup of water. To make a scented solution so you do not smell like bitter vinegar all day, add 20 drops of you favorite essential oil or bath oil. Eucalyptus oil is a good tick repellent, while peppermint and citrus oils give off a strong crisp scent that also repel ticks. After mixing the solution, spray onto clothing, skin and hair before going outdoors. Replay every four hours to keep ticks at bay, and always examine the skin and hair when returning home to make sure no ticks are on you. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you. This is also good for your pets

Tea tree oil is good too. Mix it with witch hazel and water - keeps the no-see-ums at bay. Approximately 1 cup water, 3 drops tea tree oil, & 1 tablespoon witch hazel
