I just got back from 14 days in Moldova yesterday. What an awesome experience! We got to hang out with about 550 kids. We were able to give them some school supplies, shirts, hats and many of them got a new pair of shoes. The conditions were tough to say the least. We lived at the orphanages and ate what the kids did. It was a pretty steady diet of cabbage soup, oat meal for dinner and fish for breakfast. No I'm not confused.....THEY ARE! FISH for breakfast every day! Here are a few photos. These are some of the most beautiful kids I have ever seen!
This is one of my translators, Mariana with Sasa (an orphan)

This is Nina (also an orphan). Her sister is Miss Leova 2006

This is Ana. She STOLE my heart!

This is Loredana from the village of Tolica

I have close to 300 photos to sort through, but I think I'll get a little sleep first. Security was tight coming home. It took 29 hours to get back and I have slept about 12 of the last 72 hours. I was thinking today that I have gotten back to "Reality". But then it hit me.....REALITY is OVER THERE in Cazanesti, Leova, Tolica and Bobocica! Man we have got it GOOD in America! Good night!
