Holy Batman, I love this CTX

I had a chance to get out this afternoon even though the temp was 88, we had a nice breeze so it was bearable. Nancy and I got permission to hunt a house that was abandoned and condemned but it had a nice sized yard. It was pretty obvious some kids were living there once upon a time from all of the cars that were found but the yard was full of coins to find as well.....:clapping: Besides the clad I found four more Indians, that is ten Indians in just a week and a half that I have owned the CTX. I think that is close to what I found all of last year. Nine wheats, two silvers and a strange button stud above the silver. It is in Spanish front and back but has a date on the back of 1868, it was once gold gilt.

Once again, the more I use the CTX, the more impressed I get. Some of the Indians were 9 inches deep and in our ground, that is a deep target

Looks like you folks had a great day of detecting! 9-inch IH cents is about as deep as it gets around here too. Congrats on the recoveries. HH Randy

Some nice stuff and 9 inches is bad at all. Reach out and find the targets Congrats.

Yep, The CTX is like having Batmans utility belt. You just turn on what you need for what you are hunting. :twodetecting:

Larry, did the IH's that deep still come in around 12-37? And the Merc. Dime around 12-45? Or were they off a bit with the CTX that deep?

Wow awesome hunt Larry, glad to see you doing well with it...mine will be here this week!!! cant wait.

The numbers were right on the money, 12-35, 12-37 maybe bouncy a little bit, but I could have bet money on what I was digging. The merc was just an inch deep, it was a solid 12-44, thought that one was a clad dime.

That's great. The CTX seems to keep the nuimbers honest even at depth.

With the reports coming in, if we do have a CTX 3030 Classroom, looks like we'll have plenty of Instructors! Nicely done, folks! :clapping:

On the other hand, if everyone keeps posting their success, the "nay-sayers" will go away and we can hold class right here! :detecting::minelab:

Got me a Merc today at 5 inches it was a 12 44 . Congrats on the good finds Larry :twodetecting::minelab::thumbup:

Wow! Great finds. I am sure there will be plenty more out of that property.
Keep it up!

Awesome!! man you could open up a car lot....my son would go nuts over those hotwheels..

Hi Bart. I use the Coins program, Separation Ferrous -coin, normal response, fast and deep off with target trace and target trace pinpoint on. I use Combined Tone ID with Bin2 narrowed to CO 10-15 @ 1200 Hz and 1200 on bin 4 as well. That is pretty much it but I will probably reject some of the lower CO 1-8 to quiet it down a little.

I have mixed emotions about a separate classroom forum, the ones we have already don't get used a lot and it is a tough call for the moderators to classify various posts of does this go here or there. I think the users just sharing their settings and tweaks right here is the best classroom, but that is an Admin call.

As always....great finds Larry! :clapping: I want one of those machines. :surrender: HH, Nancy

I would keep the MXT. It needs to go in the shop though. I have a feeling I won't be getting a new machine any time soon. :sadwalk: Wishful thinking Del. Wishful thinking. HH, Nancy
