Holiday hunt.. 2 silvers and an aching body

Well I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday. Its a great opportunity to get together with friends and family for a few hours. Since I have the weekend off, Patty and I decided to skip the usual Black Friday shopping and out to go hunting instead.
We would rather fight the waves instead of the crowds and mall traffic. So we opted to take an hour drive down south hoping the front that passed through might calm down... it didn't.

Waves were brutal, it seemed every spot we walked to there was a 5' wave just waiting to slam us, and the current was so strong you could barely walk backwards against it. I had some really nice signals that I just had to pass up because the waves were so close together, but I did manage to pull up these 2 goodies.

The ring is a size 13 and weights in at 22 grams.

The cross and chain are marked .925 and weighed in at a whopping 54 grams. I cant find any markings on the ring, but there's still alot of black that needs to come off. As for the chain, It needs a serious ultrasonic cleaning to get off all the tarnish. I'm not sure of the stones, don't test real for diamonds, but looks real clean, the yellow might be a citrine.

I cannot wait to get my feet into it! That chain might be junk metal. We found one that looked like tarnished silver but turned out to be nothing more than junk after days of soaking and cleaning. Get back there when those waves calm down.........gold awaits your return.

I just got in from a short hunt tonight. It was a bit cold, stepped in a few low tide sand puddles, (it was dark, flash light, oh yeah, Oops) and at 27 degrees the toes got a bit cool and had to call it after a couple hours. So when I got home I jumped onto the forum first thing I open was this one and I warmed right up. I love the looks of that necklace and the Ring looks like a monster. I don't wear any jewelry but I still like looking and those are lookers. I'm glad someone got some nice stuff today. That's great the chain and cross are marked. Well I hope after cleaning the ring a mark appears and brings another smile to your faces. Let us know either way.
Here's what we were up against the other day. The Good bye Waves :chase:

Paul, from the color of the water looks like you were south of St. Pete. I like the chain and cross, that kind of find makes your heart skip a beat, knowing of all the sunken ships in that area. Most of the time it is not old, but just junk. Congrats. on your finds. You have some low tides at CW the next few days so good luck. HH
