It has been the mildest winter here I have ever seen. 30-40% of the ground is NOT covered with snow, and lots of grass is visible! That being said, I cant even penetrate the ground when I pound my digger with a freaking hammer...Hopefully by the end of March it'll be diggin time!

I have still managed to get my hands on some cool coins though. I was at a flea market last weekend and got this 1783 8 reales that was salvaged from the El Cazador wreck. Then my brother gave me the two Canada tokens. The "ships and colonies" is from c.1830, and the other is 1854. Very cool, what a great brother I have.

I'm envious of you folks that get do detect all year long...

I also had to work. I found that Upper Canada token last year in Edmonton, and also bought that ship colonies token at a coin show. It looks like you have more snow then we do according to that photo.
