Need some feedback please on the outlaw donot want to make a mistake.I am interested mainly with the Depth, disc. factor, with three coils and being a 10khz freq. it should be pulling chinaman out of the ground:shocked:Its either that one or the bread & butter of Tesoro the vaquero?Thank you gents.cjm

I own a Vaquero and many other users on the forum do as well, but the Outlaw for some reason does not grab as much attention,in theory its a good package with 3 coils or what ever the deal is,but performance wise it gets very mixed results,i think its this push button setup that it has,as i have never used one i cannot really say what it is that is not really refined on the detector,it lacks something but the Vaquero is always high on folks performance and all round very good reviews.

Never seen a Outlaw being used in the UK but i have seen a fair few Vaquero detectors, that in my mind is a very good indicator the amount of folks who use these machines.

Between the two, which are both good detectors I have and use... My favorite is the Outlaw!

I use a vaquero and it s a good. Never used the outlaw though. But, as with most things, some love them and some don't. All I can say from my experience, you won't go wrong with a vaquero. Disc and depth are great. Just a good all round workhorse of a machine. Hard to beat them in fields. But, I do think it struggles a bit in a lot of iron. Most do and have read claims the outlaw has an edge in heavy iron over the vaquero, yet, the vaquero is deeper. I only detect as a hobby though and am no expert about them.

Over the years I have owned and used my fair share of tesoros. Most of them are owned by pinenut now.lol the outlaw is a fine unit, owned one a few years back and it's performance was on par with the Bandido2 micromax. True ED120 disc works better in carpet of nails over the higher disc circuits of the Vaquero or Tejon. Conditions change so much on an older sites though that I found the vaquero to outperform the outlaw or bandido in my soil. In more mineralized soil the ground balance on the Vaquero is more forgiving than the outlaw and Tejon.

I tell you what... your Bandido II μMAX sure ran sweet today; it's now got a new 10 turn GB pot. ^_^

~SOUPAH~SMOOOTH !!

The Outlaw, like the older Bandido, runs better in trash and has cleaner, more consistent discrimination if you ask me. Really a pleasure to use in trash, which is why I pick the Outlaw.
The Vaquero is no slouch either, and my high-tone version often goes with me along with the small concentric. I've found plenty with the Vaquero, but there's just something about the ED120 machines..

Excellent! It's a great machine. I have a 10 turn pot here also I was going to try to put in it, but never got to it. Hope it finds you lots of great things like it did for me.

Well all far a disc the outlaw wins to me.
It can separate and disc out just dimes or quarters or dimes.
What I mean is you can disc out a dime but still get quarters and copper. It's the only detector that drops quarters, dimes, silver, and copper at separate able points.

The Eldorado micromax will disc out a dime and get a quarter also.

I want them dimes to!!!!----You go "quarter'n" & you come home with an empty pouch around here.-----Just tryin to put a little humor in this boys.;)

BTW & in case anyone's interested----you can do that with the Bandito 2 micromax and the Silver Sabre micromax also.

Yeah they do.
My bandido II micromax and my outlaw are the only ones I have that can separate out the higher conductors.
Didn't mean to sound like it's the only one but it is the only current production Tesoro that can.
It's a nice feature.
The outlaw is almost identical to the bandido II micromax besides small differencew like the 2 stage button which comes in handy if you learn all it can do and how to do it.

The Outlaw is a very good machine, with the three coils you have the full package. The depth is unbeatable, the only thing i don't like is that it doesn't have a high tone for dimes and higher coins. It would make it a lot easier so you didn't have to keep adjusting and swinging back over your target. I recently hit some areas that i have hit with my Minelab and came up with some silver much deeper than i was hitting with the Minelab. You can't go wrong as long as you like the way it works.
