Hmmmm, I see a repeating pattern:confused:

I'm stuck in a " time loop," of repeating junk ring finds!!!
Of the seven rings found on the last five hunts at five different beaches,.Stainless, tungsten, stainless, titanium, stainless, tungsten,.. and today, stainless!!
What are the odds that the next one is titanium?
I got another earring set this morning, one at a time. Knew I had the second one in the scoop just from the matching tone of the first.
No discouragement here, I always enjoy being out in the water. Met 1 other hunter, saw a couple of manatees and three times I looked up to see a big sea turtle eyeballing me, he would dive under as soon as he would see me look at him. GL ALL

Time to break the 'cycle' and offer a prayer to the 'Gold Gods':please: to get a gold target next!! Since your getting all the junk rings out of the way, the ONLY rings that will be left will be the GOLD ones!!!!

Well, bummer..But it sure is better than sitting around in the house! Theres no gold there, or turtles either I imagine...you are hunting in the right spots Man!:clapping:

I believe Loyd's of London would put 7 to 1 odds on gold.

May the ring of gold be in your ears and its glitter in your scoop!

Hmm, maybe you'll break out of the time loop soon and it'll all be gold, silver and platinum! Good luck to you!

Unfortunately this is getting to be the "norm" I'm afraid. Look around at folks especially the newly weds, lots and lots of shiny junk rings because platinum and gold jewelry prices are outrageous and the tungsten and titanium are so indestructible. Good luck and at least your getting out and finding rings. Beats endless threshold drone and pennies and pull tabs. I scored a 10k the other day and a junker. HH

I think you had a golden experience seeing the sea turtle.... still a goal of mine.....
Junk rings are the future of detecting I'm afraid......

Average hunt or great hunt, this time of year it's a pleasure to be out at the beach.;) The junk ring loop/cycle, will be a past memory soon, I'm sure of that!! No sitting around the house with so much to do, be it work or play! I'll take those 7 to 1 odds and be watching for that glimmer of gold, silver or plat in the scoop. In all fairness, can you really blame people for going with the more untraditional wedding bands these days?
Hey Cliff....get a PI and stop looking at the screen:lol: Lots of great sights to be seen around you, and I'm not just talking turtles and manatees. Turtles are all over the place now, they are beaching at night to lay eggs, I'm always looking for the tell tale sign on my early morning hunts. They leave a trail in the sand when going in and out of the water that can be washed away at high tide, so I let the turtle watch crew know when I see them at sunup what I've seen and where so they can move or mark off the nest if they have not done so already. In the water they are not an uncommon sight, but since the head is all you see, most think it's just a crab trap marker. When out fishing in the boat they like to look at you as long as you don't notice them. When I used to race catamarans we could sail right up to, and just about over them before they quickly dive to the bottom. GL ALL

The economic spiral we're caught up in doesn't allow much buying power to the average couple these days!

We hunters know better than most as we are directly in touch with the results of reduced buying power every time we hunt the shorelines!!

Where's it gonna end!!??

Hardly ever look at the screen in the water.... had a manatee scare the crap out of me as I was fanning a target the other day.... all of a sudden something made me look up and there was his/her face less than 3 feet from mine.....quite a scare at first. As for the PI, I've actually thought about breaking one of mine out again since targets have been a bit scarce......I'll keep a look out for the elusive turtle....

Oz, those junk rings can sometimes be worth more than silver. Take a few of your best ones when you go out. Dining, at the bar or where ever you may have to tip. When it's time, give the waitress a choice, couple of rings or cash. Most times for me they take the rings. So in an example say, you would leave a $5 tip. If the ring is chosen instead, that makes it worth $5. Alot more than what you would get for scrap silver prices. It can be fun watching them deciding which one they want.

exactly my thought. Enjoy the fact you are able to get out and enjoy time to yourself.
