Hit the old fairgrounds

Got my Sunray X-1 so thought I'd try it out. Only had about 50 minutes so headed to the 1850's fairgrounds. It's still very active today and terribly trashy. The first signal I got was a 1910 wheat about 5". It was in some hard clay which I found strange. I tried TTF but wasn't having too much luck. The wheat was the best find. Also got a quarter with iron in the hole and a dime with junk below it. I'm really impressed with the Etrac's ability to find a coin with junk right next to it. I could barely ever get the DFX to do that.

I always believe if there are wheaties, there is silver. Keep at it. I have a fairground like that a few miles from here. Funny thing is I have never been there to detect it. May have to when the field hunting is done. Good luck and enjoy the x-1. It is a geat probe.
